Last night I went to a friend's gallery opening and afterwards we walked through the city at night, something I don't do often enough any more. It was a beautiful cloudy night and the great glass roof of the Grand Palais, which has just finished being renovated, was lit up inside for some grand party, first in blue, then in red. It was spectacular.
We passed the Maison de l'Amérique latine, which has a beautiful garden restaurant, and in front there was a changing signboard like the ones the Mairie of Paris puts up. After a minute we realized that this was Art. I took a picture of the most apposite sign.
What a beautiful city this is! I'm not even a city-lover, but you would have to be blind not to see it. Here is Saint-Germain-des-Prés at night, and the Seine. Sorry I'm not a good photographer.
