Did you know that honey is made in Paris? Ah ben oui! In fact, you can even take a bee-keeping course in the heart of Paris. These beehives are at the Jardin de Luxembourg. There are also some at the Tour Montparnasse and the Jardin des Plantes, where there is a "bee hotel." Honeybees are in trouble around the world and are necessary for our food. So when in doubt, be nice to a bee.
The word for bee in French is abeille. It took me a long time to figure out that it's not pronounced the same way as abbaye.
